Weigh In

  • Weigh-ins will be done randomly as needed at the event

Competition Belt Levels

  • Novice: white / yellow / orange
  • Intermediate: green / blue / purple
  • Advanced: Brown / Red
  • Black

Traditional Forms

  • Competitors may select the form they wish to compete in.
  • Intermediate/Advanced competitors may choose from lower divisions as well.
  • 1st Dans may select any Advanced forms.
  • 2nd Dans and higher may select from lower-level black belt forms as well.
Color Belt Poomsae
  • Novice: Taegeuk 1, 2, 3
  • Intermediate: Taegeuk 4, 5, 6
  • Advanced: Taegeuk 7, 8
Black Belt Poomsae
  • 1st Dan: Koryo
  • 2nd Dan: Keumgang
  • 3rd Dan: Taebaek
  • 4th Dan: Pyongwon
  • 5th Dan: Sipjin

Sport Poomsae

  • All Sport Poomsae competitors will advance to finals.
  • All color belts will perform one form of their choice from their designated poomsae list.
  • All Black Belts will perform two poomsae randomly selected from the designated poomsae list.

Olympic Sparring

  • Daedo Gen 3 Daedo Electronic Scoring will be used for all divisions, Daedo Gen 3 gloves will not be used
  • Daedo Gen 3 E-Footgear is available to rent for $30 or for purchase at the event
  • An exhibition match will attempt to be arranged for all single athletes during their division
  • Additional exhibition matches will be held after all events have concluded

  • Grassroots, no electronic scoring
  • An exhibition match will attempt to be arranged for all single athletes during their division

  • Boards must be preordered (available for preorder here) or purchased at the event for $4.00 each board (Cash Only).
  • Athletes CAN NOT bring their own boards.

  • Only 2 holders/feeders are allowed
  • only demo boards (3/8") are allowed
  • Repetitive Hand "BUZZSAW" (10 Boards, must have your own feeders)
  • Repetitive Side Kick (10 Boards, supply own holders)
  • Repetitive Spin Hook (10 Boards, supply own holders)
Power Breaking
  • Hammer Fist or Stomp (competitor chooses amount of Boards)
  • Competitors may attempt as many boards as they choose, but only get one attempt
  • Board choices: 1/2 inch or 3/4 inch (no mixing allowed)
  • Winner is determined by the highest number of boards successfully broken

Demonstration Team

  • All members of the demo team must register individually
  • Boards must be preordered (available for preorder here) or purchased at the event for $4.00 each board (Cash Only).
  • Teams CAN NOT bring their own boards.
  • Cash prize for 1st place Demo Team $500.

AAU Memberships

  • All Athletes and Coaches must be a current AAU member Join AAU
  • 2026 AAU memberships require a mandatory background screening. Adult AAU memberships are no longer instant, and take 5-10 days.
  • New application screening process will impact each adult athlete/non-athlete (COACH) applicant.
  • Adult members will be screened yearly when applying for a membership as part of the membership process.
  • Applications will not be approved instantaneously, and applicants must consent to a background screening.
  • Each adult/non-athlete applicant must complete his/her own application.
  • Projected turnaround time could be 5-10 business days.
  • You will not be able to participate in any AAU practices or authorized events until you have received your membership.
  • Youth Athlete memberships will process instantly.
  • All coaches must have a Blue Coaches Polo. Available for order at AAMA
  • Referees must attend and complete the online referee course and in-person referee seminar (hand signals) in order to officiate at this event.
  • Coaches must also have taken a coach's online course by the time of registration for the coaching credentials.
